
Kenneth Eugene Koslofsky, son of Irvin A. and Delayne D. (Olson) Koslofsky, was born on June 18, 1954, at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND. Ken passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on March 28, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.
He grew up on the family farm near Fingal, ND. He attended and graduated from Fingal High School in 1972. Soon after graduation, he began farming with his father and brother, continuing until his retirement.
Ken was baptized in the Lutheran faith on July 25, 1954, and confirmed on May 11, 1969. Over the years, he served on the Messiah Lutheran Church council, including a term as president.
On November 5, 1977, he married Betty Storhoff at St. Petri Lutheran Church, rural Nome, ND. They joyfully welcomed their son, Kyle, in 1983. Kyle now manages the family farm.
Kenny was an active member of the Fingal Wildlife Club, serving on the board of directors and holding positions as president and secretary over the years. He enjoyed hunting trips to western North Dakota, as well as hunting closer to home. His favorite fishing spots were Devils Lake and Lake Ashtabula, where he spent time with family and friends. In recent years, he took great pleasure in working on his 1968 Camaro and attending car shows.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Kyle; brothers, Ron (Chris) of Fingal, ND, and Gary of Fargo, ND, along with Gary’s children, Collin and Caitlynn, and Gary’s special friend, Virginia Callens-Gregg; mother-in-law, Phyllis Storhoff of Valley City; and brothers-in-law, Jim (Marilyn) Storhoff of Lisbon, ND, Mike (Patsy) Storhoff of Nome, ND, Paul (Cherie) Storhoff of Fargo, ND, Percy (Brenda) Storhoff of Kathryn, ND, and Bruce (Shalon) Storhoff of Nome, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, father-in-law, Edmund Storhoff; sister-in-law, Rose Koslofsky; brother-in-law, Rodney Storhoff; and niece, Teri Storhoff.
The funeral service for Kenny will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fingal. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel in Valley City.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Fingal.
The family prefers memorials be directed to Hillside Cemetery or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
