Donna Webster, age 76, of Valley City, ND died Wednesday, February 12th, 2016 at her residence after a long illness surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 14th, 2016 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday evening at the church.
Donna Ann Holm, born at Dakota Hospital, Fargo, ND on June 14, 1939 to Henry Albert and Karen E (Thoreson) Holm. Donna attended 1st and 2nd grade at Cuba Normal School #33 and 3rd-12th Grade at Valley City Public School. After her graduation, Donna attended Valley City State Teacher’s College for one year. She married Dale E Webster on May 28, 1960. Donna was very active in Girl Scouts – Brownie Scouts and was a Girl Scout Leader. Donna was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years and served as Circle Co-Chair at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary was important, and Donna served as Dakota State President 1990-1991. Donna also participated with the Eagles Auxiliary Ritual Team for 20-plus years. Donna was never scared of hard work, she worked for a paycheck from the age of 13. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have always been a very important part of Donna’s life. Donna was baptized, confirmed and married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by daughter Lisa (Curt Jones) Ott, Frazee, MN; sons, Todd E. (Lee) Webster, Valley City and Scott (James) Webster, Eagle Butte, SD; grandchildren, Lucas Lynn (Mary) Ott, Embden, ND, Cameron (Leslie Yellowhammer) Ott, Grand Forks, ND, Keri Ann (Bobby) Kramer, Fargo, ND, and Dannielle (R.J.) LaRoque and Cody Webster, Valley City; great grandson Roman Gus Ott and great granddaughter to be: Baby K; and one sister, Luverne Johnson, Valley City.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Keegan Nicholas Ott; husband, Dale E. Webster; parents, Henry Albert and Karen E. Holm; brothers, Harry, Bobby, Earnest (Jim) and Roy; and sisters, Helen (Bruce) Ormiston, Alice (Carl) Knutsen and Deloris (Dick) Gibson.
