Arlene NorbergArlene Delores Fedorenko Norberg entered into eternal life on Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Arlene was the youngest child of four born to John and Pauline Jenson on May 13, 1932. She was raised and educated in Butte, ND. Most importantly, her Christian education began and continued at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Arlene married Albert Fedorenko on June 4, 1950, her beloved husband of 46 years. Shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand they farmed their land.

Albert passed away in 1996. In 2001, Arlene married Gerald Norberg. They spent time gardening, traveling and enjoyed visiting with their blended families and friends.

When Arlene wasn’t busy helping with farm life, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She was a member of the Ladies Circle at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a homemaker group of friends.

Her true passion was music. God blessed her with the incredible gift of playing piano without ever taking a lesson. She loved playing the piano and singing well into her later years. Hymns were some of her favorites, and her faith sustained her always.

She was a superb cook and an excellent baker. She had the gift of hospitality, and family and friends enjoyed her laughter, her company and her zest for life. It seemed she had a welcoming smile for all.

Grateful and full of love for her are her children, Pamela (Michael) Hoffman, Paulette (Dorvin) Froseth, and Jay and Melissa Fedorenko. Her legacy includes grandchildren, Christopher and Virginia Hoffman, Jordan (Kela), Jessica, and Spencer (Madison) Lemer, and Ashley and Taylor Fedorenko. She was also blessed with two beautiful great grandchildren, Macie and Kennedi Golberg (Virginia’s daughters). Other special people to Arlene are Jerry’s children and grandchildren.

May God be forever praised for allowing us to share Arlene’s life.

Mabel Klose

Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great-grandma and Friend, Mabel Reese Klose got her wings on Thursday, September 24th 2015. She would hate for us to make this a typical, sad obituary, so instead it will be about her and all the love she gave and received during her lifetime.

She was born on March 30th 1941, was raised in a Catholic orphanage with a brother and sister and later went to a foster home in Foreman, ND. This may have contributed to the reason she was such a compassionate and caring person.

She married the handsome Wallace “Wally” Klose on November 26th, 1960 and together they raised 4 children, Barry, Bonnie, Brenda (husband B.J) and B.J. (wife Alena). The pride and joy of her life were her grandchildren Bradley, Tim, Jennifer, Tiffany, C.J., Shaelee, Garrett, Jesse, Dylan, Elly, Desirae, Skyler, Emilee, Abigail, Makayla, and Madison, and her great-grandchildren Daimen, Brady, Ryan, Daunte, Raeleigh and Journey. Her 4 brothers, Richard, Frank, Bill and George and 1 sister, Janet, were a very important part of her life, as were her family and numerous friends, near and far. You can’t talk about her without mentioning how GREAT a cook she was. Her biscuits and gravy were legendary. She cooked at the hospital for many years and even made the hospital food yummy!!! Mom loved her funny little “Grandma” sweatshirts, soft and silly pajama pants, hummingbirds and Christmas music. If you weren’t a fan of Christmas music than you couldn’t really hang around the house between Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! She loved her family with her heart and soul. We do not know how to go on without her because that is ONE thing she did not teach us.

There will be a funeral vigil on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 7:00 pm at K&L Mortuary in Twin Bridges, MT.

A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 10 am at St Mary’s Church in Laurin, MT.

We would love for everyone to attend a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2 pm at the Twin Bridges School Multipurpose Room with a potluck to follow at the lunchroom. Mom’s favorite color was blue, baby blue and we would love anyone that attends to wear baby blue. Please bring a story about her with you.

The burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday October 5, 2015 at the Calvary Cemetery in Jamestown, ND. Mom may be gone from our sight, but never, ever from our hearts and minds. Mom we love you to the moon and back.

Harold was born May 24, 1922, the son of Elmer and Sadie (Tomlin) Ellingson on a farm two miles south of Edgeley, ND. He attended rural elementary school and graduated from Edgeley High School in 1940.

After high school he worked for Farmers Union Oil in Edgeley for a year. He then farmed with his dad. In 1945, he married Erna Rudolph, and over the next few years, they had 4 children – Diane, David, Denise and Dana.

Shortly after they were married, Harold started working in the Edgeley auction barn as a ring man. He became interested in the auction chant, and practiced it while working on the tractor or driving pickup. He soon began helping the local auctioneer. After mastering the chant, he went into the auction business full scale in 1950.

In the late 1950s Harold took flying lessons and purchased a Cessna airplane to assist in his auction business. For years he was known as “North Dakota’s Flying Auctioneer.” Any gravel road could become a runway, and it was common for him to taxi into a farmer’s yard to talk about a sale.

Throughout the years Harold sold weekly livestock sales at Edgeley, Ellendale, Jamestown, Valley City, Napoleon, Linton, Hankinson, and Mandan, North Dakota, and Eureka, Leola, and Herreid, South Dakota. Harold was North Dakota State Champion Livestock Auctioneer in 1968.

Harold was involved as the secretary/treasurer of the ND Auctioneer’s Association for 3 years, a director of the National Auctioneer’s Association for 3 years, an active member of Edgeley’s Volunteer Fire Department for 16 years, served on Edgeley’s Credit Union Board for 25 years, was a member of the United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board and as finance chairman, member of Men’s Quartet and Methodist choir for many years, and a member of the Edgeley Country Club.

For the last 4 years Harold lived in Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley. He loved it there and received excellent care! The staff and residents were his 2nd family.
